Peregrine: Emergency Response Tech Hackathon
In 2024, extreme storms like Hurricane Helene left a devastating trail: 550+ lives lost and over $180 billion in damages. Historical trends suggest these devastating impacts will only intensify in coming years.
Let's hack this trend. Work directly with Florida emergency officials who've faced nature's fury firsthand, to build tech solutions to support communities impacted by extreme weather. Your code, your ideas, your solutions could literally save lives when the next storm hits.
Join us for a hackathon organized by Peregrine (Series C company, backed by Sequoia) and HBS Tech Club where you'll build functional tech solutions in collaboration with one of Peregrine's emergency management partners in Florida.
Highlights:
Direct collaboration with Florida county representatives on-site
Peregrine's co-founder & CEO as well as top brass from Deployment team will be present to mentor and engage with you
Career opportunities: Peregrine is actively hiring
Lunch & drinks provided
Prizes for best teams
