About Event

Join Design It For Us, partnered with Political Computer Science at Berkeley and Youth Power Project, for an evening of conversation and connection centered on the real impacts of social media on young people and society.

The program will feature a screening of Can’t Look Away: The Case Against Social Media, followed by an in-depth fireside chat with Arturo Béjar, Meta whistleblower and featured expert in the documentary. Drawing on his experience at Facebook, Béjar will offer rare, first-hand insight into how social media platforms shape youth mental health and what accountability can look like moving forward.

This event welcomes young adults who are new to conversations about tech accountability, alongside experienced advocates, organizers, and researchers. Whether this is your first time engaging with this issue or you’ve been working in this space for years, this evening is designed to meet you where you are.
