Activist Songwriting Workshop and Pachamama Song Circle

Our Activist Songwriting Workshop & Pachamama Song Circle will take place at the Sea House in Encinitas and will have two parts. No preparation is required, but you are invited to bring a song to share and play with the group. We can't wait to make music with you all to inspire change!

1st hour: Environmental Activism Songwriting Workshop

Workshop Goals:
• network with other activist songwriters
• prepare original songs for activism events
• practice teaching your song to groups
• learn song(s) to perform at future environmental events

Optional prep for the workshop:

1. Pick a chorus or snippet of an activist song that you wrote. Make a phone recording. Doesn't have to be perfect.
2. Send your recording to contact@oceansidemusicstudios.com by 3pm the day of the workshop.

At the workshop:

We will ask you to share a couple minutes of introduction to the song and then we will listen to the recording and learn to sing it as a group, adding drum rhythms and harmonies.

2nd hour: Song Circle (all welcome!)

We will learn the song Pachamama in 3 part harmony to perform at upcoming environmental events. Here are recordings of the 3 song parts: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1tY4iX0fTkYPq9emfCxS5Y4jxpg6ejPPu?usp=sharing
