Make Personal AI Agents Work for You (Workshop 2)
AI agents can now act for you, not just answer: draft the email, book the table, chase the follow-up. Meta's Muse is now available in Singapore, and there are others, from ChatGPT's dots to open-source agents like Hermes and OpenClaw. Getting real work out of them, and knowing what to watch for, takes practice.
In this small, hands-on workshop, you'll build your own AI agent on Telegram for one real job, then learn to test it, steer it and keep it in check. Codex or Claude Code handles the technical steps; you make the decisions. No coding experience needed.
What you'll do
Pick a job worth handing over, and decide what stays with you
Set up your own agent (Hermes, an open-source agent, on Google Cloud) using a prepared starter kit. No GitHub needed.
Write its instructions, try real requests, and improve the results with one-to-one feedback
Set its limits: what it may do alone, when it must ask you first, and how to pause it
Map your agents: which job goes to Muse, ChatGPT or your own, and how to stop two of them doing the same thing
What to watch for
Made-up answers when information is missing. Acting before asking. More access than the job needs. Costs that build up quietly. Jobs that stop without telling you.
You'll leave with
Your own agent, set up and tested for one real job
Instructions you've already improved once, and a way to keep improving them
A clear view of what it can see, what it costs and how to switch it off
A simple map of which agent does what
Is this for me?
If you want the quickest ready-made assistant, try Muse first. This workshop is for people who want to understand agents by building one, who'd rather choose the AI model behind their agent, or who are already juggling several assistants.
What to bring
A personal laptop you can install software on (work laptops often block installs)
A small job you'd like help with, from keeping up with a topic to planning and personal organisation
Simple preparation, such as creating accounts, may be requested before the session. We'll send clear instructions.
From the June workshop
“I never imagined myself getting this ‘technical’ as a non-tech person. Oanh's AI workshop made it hands-on, can-do. Can't believe I have my own personal AI baby now.” — Xuan N., Workshop 2 participant
Is my agent private?
It's set up for you alone, not for public or group chats. Your messages still go to the AI model provider it uses, so think about what you share.
Can I use this for my business?
Workshop 2 is for personal agents. For customer-facing or staff workflows, see AI solutions for small and medium businesses.
About your instructor
Oanh founded Paper & Pixel, a Singapore applied AI studio making AI useful, understandable, and safe for real life and small business. Her background includes Google, McKinsey, and Intuit.
Good to know
Intentionally small: max 5 seats
Cloud and AI model use may cost extra after the workshop. We'll show you where to check it and how to pause it
Refundable when requested at least 7 days before; transferable to another attendee before the session
Want something simpler? Workshop 1 works inside the AI chat you already use: Sun 15 Nov, S$99.
