DESCRIPTION
This roundtable dialogue brings together key disabled and Indigenous disabled leaders to explore the intersections of climate justice, disability inclusion, and Indigenous rights. Drawing on their lived experiences and expertise, they will reflect on the journey to embed disability within UNFCCC negotiations and strengthen recognition of intersectional disability rights in global climate policy. Through storytelling and collective reflection, the discussion shares the whakapapa / journey that laid the foundations for a Disability Caucus within the UNFCCC, highlighting how disabled and Indigenous wisdom continues to shape more just, inclusive, and ambitious climate solutions leading into COP30 and beyond.
