Andrew Chai
A 1st year PhD Computer Science Student and MSc Computer Science Graduate at York University. His research focuses on the intersection of Explainable AI (XAI), machine learning, and databases. He is additionally interested in bias and fairness in AI/ML. He also part of the Data and AI (DAI) lab at Lassonde, IBM center for advanced studies (CAS).
Kevin Y. H. Hui
Wrapping up his Master’s in Computer Science at York University. His research interests include molecular communication, information theory, computational chemistry and biology, systems biology, and parallel computing, with a strong focus on applying computational methods to complex biological and chemical systems.
Hasti Ghaneshirazi
Direct-entry PhD student in Computer Software & Software Engineering at the University of Waterloo, transitioning directly from a bachelor’s degree. Their research focuses on data-driven approaches to software architecture and system design, with work bridging academia and industry through a first-author project with IBM.
Karanpreet Raja
Master’s student at York University specializing in computational photography and visual computing. Karanpreet’s work bridges research and creativity, offering a unique perspective on interdisciplinary graduate research.
