Workshop: How to tell a compelling first customer deployment story
Join us on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 24th, for a panel and workshop at YesSF in downtown San Francisco! Cleantech Open's SF Bay Area metro team is partnering with YesSF, a convener focused on urban transformation and sustainability in San Francisco, on this event.
AGENDA
2:00 - Doors open
2:30 - Panel: Telling your 1st customer deployment story
3:00 - 3 startups pitch and Q&A on 1st customer deployments
4:00 - Dialogue and Lessons learned
4:30 - Networking
6:00 - Doors close
We will discuss a critical component of your pitch to investors and partners: your story for a successful initial technology deployment with your first customer(s).
We'll begin with a panel discussion on the important topics and questions to address, as well as pitfalls to avoid. We'll then watch 3-4 established startups pitch their first customer deployment stories to a panel of expert judges, who will pose probing and - ideally - challenging questions. Then we'll close with an open Q&A between the judges and the audience on key lessons and best practices gleaned from the panel and pitches.
This will be a great opportunity not only to hone an important part of your pitch, but also to gain insight into the challenges of - and strategies for - obtaining your first customer deployment.
Network with peer startups, mentors, metro team volunteers, and partners in the Bay Area! All in this year's cohort and mentors are welcome - as space is available.
