​OXAI, the Oxford Artificial Intelligence Society, brings a workshop on the future to Swiss {ai} Weeks. Not predictions, not doom. A structured session where you build the decade ahead yourself, then work out what it would take to get there.

​Most conversations about AI ask what the technology will do to us. This one asks a harder question: what are we actually choosing, and who is doing the choosing? Ten years is long enough for the answer to matter and short enough that the decisions are being made now, by people in rooms like this one. Over the session you will work in small groups to build a concrete picture of 2036: how people work, how they are cared for, what machines are trusted with, and what stays human. Then we pressure-test it. Which parts are already in motion? Which need a decision nobody has made yet? Which need someone in this room to make them? You will leave with a written scenario, a set of disagreements worth having, and a clearer sense of where your own work sits in the picture. Run by OXAI, one of the UK's largest student AI societies, whose work spans robotics, open-source model evaluation and the governance of humanoid systems in care settings. Part of Swiss {ai} Weeks.
