About Event

Artistic Noise began in 2001, when three women (a visual artist, a lawyer, and a formerly-incarcerated young person) combined their experiences to create art programs for systems-impacted teens and young adults. Over the past 25 years, the organization has remained committed to their belief in the healing, transformative, and empowering experience that artmaking has in a young person’s development, and Artistic Noise has gone on to create projects in collaboration with thousands of young people whose lives have been impacted by the juvenile court system, shelter system, foster care system, mental health care systems, and others.

Artistic Noise believes creative fulfillment, emotional support, and economic security are everyone’s rights. After a quarter of a century relentlessly helping young people thrive, join us in ensuring their next 25 years of expanded work and hear about their future plans.

Come to Anew on Wednesday, January 14th and kick-off the start of Artistic Noise’s 25th Anniversary year. The exhibition and event will be a chance to meet Artistic Noise team members (past and present), board members, their artists in residence, and other people whose lives have been impacted through a connection with their programming.

A selection of archival artwork will be on display, alongside a selection of artwork created by their Alumni Artist in Residence cohort.

Please RSVP to let us know you can come.

Calder Zwicky is the Executive Director at Artistic Noise, an arts organization that supports systems-impacted young people, and part of the inaugural cohort of Anew’s Entrepreneurs in Residence.

Anew is a gathering space and discovery center for the social impact community.

Anew’s Entrepreneur in Residence program hosts nonprofit entrepreneurs who are architecting creative social impact solutions to real world problems. Every six months, we support a new group of change makers with a customized curriculum to take their organizations to the next level.
