An Afternoon of Curiosity, Humor & Connection at HumorVille
When was the last time you did something purely for the pure joy of it?
In a world that feels increasingly heavy, fast-paced, and disconnected, humor is more than entertainment — it’s a way back to ourselves and to each other.
On Sunday, August 2nd, you’re invited to step out of your usual routine and into an afternoon designed to spark laughter, curiosity, play, and genuine connection in Brooklyn.
We’ll begin with brunch at Casa Ora, a beloved Williamsburg restaurant known for its vibrant Venezuelan cuisine, warm hospitality, and creative cocktails — the perfect setting to gather, connect, and ease into the day together.
From there, we’ll head to HumorVille, a one-of-a-kind immersive experience described as a “tourist attraction for your heart.”
Created by Jester of the Peace Barbara Ann Michaels, HumorVille transforms a whimsical small town into an interactive world of play, self-expression, storytelling, and human connection. Guests are invited to wander through imaginative civic spaces — including the HumorVille Marriage Bureau, Post Office, Elections Board, Public Library, and Telephone Company — each designed to spark conversation, laughter, surprise, and unexpected moments of reflection.
More than an art installation or performance, HumorVille is a participatory experience that reminds us how powerful it can be to laugh, loosen up, and engage with others in a more openhearted way.
Whether you come solo or with friends, this afternoon offers a refreshing opportunity to connect beyond small talk, experience something truly original, and remember that joy, humor, and play are not distractions from a meaningful life — they are essential parts of one.

Humorville only for non-members: $85 first release; $90 full price
Humorville only for Art-full members: $75 first release; $80 full price
Full experience with brunch for Art-full members: $100 first release; $110 full price
Note: All tickets include access to Humorville — no separate ticket required. The Full Experience ticket also includes 1 brunch entree (tax/tip included) up to $20.
Space is intentionally limited to preserve the intimacy of the experience. Early booking is encouraged.
