Cleaning our Air through Sustainable Material Management - A Presentation and Material Collection by Circular Partners
Join us for an insightful event that reveals the "invisible" connection between the things we throw away and the air we breathe. Most people know that cars and planes create emissions, but few realize that every material carries a "carbon debt" from the moment it’s manufactured. This is known as embodied carbon.
During this event, Circular Partners will walk you through their zero-landfill commitment and the impact of diverting over 21 million pounds of material, showing how keeping materials in circulation prevents the need for new production, and the future emissions and air pollution that come with it.
At Circular Partners, we aren't just talking about the problem; we’re battling it. Alongside our presentation, we will be collecting your laundered denim and sorted 100% cotton items for free at this event only. Together, our efforts will ensure your items are diverted from the landfill to the Highest and Best Use®, and their carbon debt is "paid off" through responsible management.
Come learn how preventing pollution is just as powerful as removing it, and how you can help Toronto breathe easier.
About the Host: Circular Partners is a Canadian environmental services provider advancing practical, scalable solutions to one of Canada’s most pressing challenges: the growing strain on landfill capacity and the rising emissions associated with material waste. With landfills projected to reach capacity within the next decade, our work focuses on keeping valuable materials in circulation and out of disposal systems.
Through our integrated operations, we divert hard-to-recycle construction and industrial materials from landfills while reducing embodied carbon and Scope 3 emissions across the built environment. To date, our efforts have prevented over 21 million pounds of material from entering landfills, preserving limited land resources, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and protecting green spaces.
