ClimatEd Summit 2026: Envisioning New Pathways for Education
Climate Art/Creative showcase and panel discussion by children on reimagining their communities, followed by a workshop on climate communications and showcase of climate games and creative expressions
The event conducted as part of the ClimatEd Summit brings together creativity, play, dialogue, and skill-building to empower children and adults alike as climate thinkers and communicators with these segments.
1. Climate Art & Creatives Showcase, in which art creations of children exploring challenges in their communities through themes of Water, Waste, Biodiversity, Energy, or Heat & Shade, and solutions that are practical, nature-inspired, futuristic, or wonderfully imaginative will be showcased. It will offer educators, families, and climate leaders a chance to see young voices expressed through visual storytelling.
2. Youth Panel Discussion with selected children (from the art competitions conducted in RWAs in Bengaluru) who would share their visions for climate-resilient communities and cities, positioning them as thought leaders with innovative ideas for the future.
3. A lively Climate Games Panel with demonstrations and play sessions that highlight how games can make climate concepts engaging, collaborative, and memorable.
4. Workshop - Climate Truth Detectives: How to Spot Greenwashing and Misinformation, by Madhur Singh, from Climate Action Live. This will be a 60-minute, interactive workshop by Climate Action Live that turns climate literacy into a detective game. Participants will encounter real-world examples of greenwashing, misleading climate claims and viral misinformation and learn to spot the tricks behind them. Through quick-fire quizzes, “greenwashing bingo” and a mock climate “court”, they will investigate claims such as “carbon neutral”, “clean fuel” and “eco-friendly” and learn to distinguish between a false claim, a technically true claim presented without context and a genuinely evidence-backed solution.
It is designed for students, educators and interested laypersons, with the aim of leaving participants better equipped to navigate the climate information they encounter in classrooms, media, advertising and social media.
