Climate Hack Night & BBQ is an informal evening of hands-on ideation and collaborative problem-solving, set against the backdrop of good food and open skies. Whether you're a seasoned sustainability practitioner or simply someone who cares deeply about the planet, this is your space to show up, dig in, and build something that matters.
The evening kicks off with short, punchy pitches from participants sharing climate challenges they're wrestling with — from energy access and circular waste systems to agriculture, water, and community resilience. Teams then self-organize, roll up their sleeves, and spend a focused session hacking on ideas: sketching, prototyping, debating, and iterating. No polished decks required — just curiosity, creativity, and the willingness to try.
In between, the BBQ keeps everyone fueled and the conversations flowing. Some of the best cross-disciplinary ideas emerge not at the whiteboard, but over a plate of food and an honest chat.
The night wraps with informal show-and-tells — a chance to share what your team explored, what surprised you, and what you'd want to take further.
