OTC BLACK is the most exclusive and intimate expression of the One Thousand Club.
A curated series of high-end experiences designed for a very small group of selected members, where atmosphere, art, conversation and intention matter as much as what happens at the table.
For this edition, we enter one of Lisbon’s best-kept secrets: the Hendrick’s Room — a hidden space where art, technology, gastronomy and provocation coexist, and where every detail can be shaped to the mood of the night.
OTC BLACK is not a talk, a workshop or a performance.
It is a carefully designed evening — intimate, thoughtful and unexpected — where art, language and gastronomy meet around one table.
Portuguese sayings and popular expressions are a recurring source of inspiration in the artist Mário Belém’s work — phrases passed down through generations, carrying humour, contradiction and quiet judgement. During the evening, these expressions will gently weave into the experience, serving as informal points of connection and reflection around the table.
A hidden room in the heart of Lisbon
Concealed behind walls in the heart of Chiado, the Hendrick’s Room is a private space for those who appreciate the rare, the unexpected and the carefully crafted. Born from the imagination of artists Mário Belém and Filipe Pinto Soares, the room blends illustration, technological installations and a fully customisable sensory environment.
For this OTC BLACK night, the room becomes a living experience.
Light, sound and atmosphere will be adjusted in real time, guided by the presence of Mário Belém, one of the creators of the space, who will share insights into the artistic process, the hidden layers of the room and the ideas behind its design.
At the table, an intimate dinner by Bistro 100 Maneiras, conceived to complement the experience — not simply as a meal, but as part of the ritual.

The Setting: Bistro 100 Maneiras
Bistro 100 Maneiras is one of Lisbon’s most distinctive dining spaces, where creativity, irreverence and precision come together in an intimate, urban setting. Led by Ljubomir Stanisic, one of Portugal’s most influential chefs, the bistro reflects his bold, uncompromising approach to cuisine — expressive, seasonal and deeply rooted in emotion and storytelling.
Your Expert Host: Mário Belém
Mário Belém (Lisbon, 1977) is a Portuguese illustrator and visual artist, trained in graphic design at Ar.Co. After a career spanning multiple areas of communication, he now dedicates himself fully to personal artistic projects. His work has been presented internationally in landmark contemporary art initiatives such as Djerbahood (Tunisia), Tour Paris 13 (Paris), and the International Village Art Festival in China. Known for a bold, colourful visual language that blends image and text, Belém explores popular culture, communication and the human condition through sculptural compositions, public interventions and exhibitions.
The Menu:
In the spirit of 100 Maneiras and the uncompromising creativity of Chef Ljubomir Stanisic, each course is revealed moment by moment, inviting guests to let go of expectations and stay present with what arrives at the table.
This approach mirrors the irreverence of the Hendrick’s Room itself — a space that resists predictability and thrives on intuition, contrast and play.

* Organic Beetroot Tartare with Basil, Wasabi and Walnuts
* Mushroom and Aspargus Salad with Bearnise Foam
* Tuna Tartare, Hokkaido pumpkin and quail egg mollet

* Grilled turbot with creamy seafood rice and green salad
* 25-day dry-aged Malhado pork chop, truffled potato mille-feuille and chargrilled heart cabbage with miso glaze
Dessert:
* Azorean Cheese Foam with Guava Sorbet
