Inside Harlem’s Art Scene: An Open Studios Discovery Walk
Join Women of Culture for a special Art-full Discovery Walk through the Harlem Open Artist Studio Tour (HOAST), offering a rare opportunity to step inside the studios, homes, and creative spaces of artists throughout Harlem.
Rather than navigating the expansive Open Studios on your own, we’ll explore a thoughtfully curated selection of stops led by Deborah Oster Pannell, a multidisciplinary arts producer, writer, performer, and Curatorial and Artist Relations Director at ARTMoney Society. Along the way, Deborah will introduce us to artists, their work, and the ideas and stories shaping their creative practices.
Together, we’ll experience the energy, diversity, and distinctly personal character of Harlem’s contemporary art scene—meeting artists where they work, discovering spaces we might never encounter otherwise, and gaining a more intimate perspective on how art takes shape.
It’s an afternoon of art, access, conversation, and discovery, designed for anyone curious to go beyond the gallery walls and experience Harlem’s creative community from the inside.
Those joining the Full Experience will begin over brunch at Settepani in Harlem, with time to connect with fellow art lovers before heading out on our studio adventure.
