​Can a small Polish model pass the matura?

​46 hours to find out. Teams take an open Polish model — Bielik, PLLuM or another from the allowed list — and put it through matura-style questions generated from Polish Wikipedia, graded automatically and scored in points. One board, everyone on it, prizes per track.

​Two tracks

​Harness — build around the model, with no training at all. Retrieval over Polish Wikipedia, a calculator the model can call, several attempts and a vote, a second pass before the answer goes in. Prompts and glue code; a laptop is enough. Scored on matura points.

​Fine-tuning — train a small model to be better at the exam. Take an open model of a few gigabytes and tune it on data you build yourself. Two size classes, GPU credits included. Scored on matura points plus the gain over the untouched base model.

​How the weekend runs

​Friday 18:00 — kick-off, teams form, rules and scoring explained.

​Saturday — you build, with mentors and judges on the floor.

​Sunday 16:00 — demos and scoring, 46 hours after kick-off.

​Before you come

​From Monday to Thursday there are four evening workshops and meetups on training small models, all at Kolektyw3. They are a good warm-up but not a requirement — the hackathon is open to anyone who shows up on Friday. Each session has separate registration on the Kolektyw3 calendar.

​Bring a laptop. No previous experience in model training is required — come with a team or find one on Friday.

​Venue

​The hackathon takes place at Kolektyw3, a community and event space for people building with emerging technologies in central Warsaw.
