(Crypto's Quantum Problem) by XueDAO & Whitepaper Reading Taipei
(Crypto's Quantum Problem)
Google 最新論文首次為破解 secp256k1(兩個網路共用的簽章曲線)的資源估算給出實際數字。

Session
XueDAO
📖 Whitepaper Reading Club(WPRC)

Google new paper puts real numbers on resource estimate for breaking secp256k1 — the signature curve behind both networks. We will break down:
The updated attack cost
The paper’s three attack models — on-spend, at-rest, and on-setup
Why Bitcoin and Ethereum are exposed in very different ways. Bitcoin’s key issue is the mempool window during spends; Ethereum’s is more structural, spanning accounts, admin keys, staking, and KZG-based data availability.
Session Lead
Ko-Wei Tseng (IOTA Asia Ecosystem Lead) - He's been with WPRC since the beginning of time. He also happens to have a Quantum Physics PhD from NUS and helped translate Mastering Monero to Chinese.
