We're so happy to invite you to something truly one-of-a-kind : an evening that combines the quiet joy of reading with the magic of being seen.
This one came straight from the heart of our community.
Marcel van der Linden, one of our most beloved members and professional photographer, had a vision: to photograph each of us with light falling on our face (the way Rembrandt once painted his subjects) and then assemble every portrait into a single collage, where the light from one person flows into the next, and the next, and the next.
One continuous thread of light.

Combined with an Offline Reading Party, this evening is an invitation to show up as you are (book in hand, phone away, fully present) and let yourself be part of something that will last well beyond the night.
Places are limited to 36 people. If you love this community you have to be there!

The Program
18:30 – 19:00 | Arrive & Make Yourself at Home
19:00 – 20:00 | Dive Into Your Book
20:00 – 21:30 | Connect With Others
During these three hours, each participant will spend five minutes with Marcel in the 'studio' that we will set up in a separate room for their portrait session. It will be a quiet, intimate moment just for you and the light.
Afterwards, you'll receive a free portrait of yourself (ready to show the world who you really are?). 🎁
What to expect:
📵 A phone-free space, present, unhurried, real
📖 One full hour of collective, offline reading
📸 Your portrait taken by Marcel, offered to you as a gift
🕯️ Rembrandt-style lighting, intimate, beautiful, and unlike anything we've done before
🤝 Warm conversations and the kind of connection only our community knows how to create
💛 A collage that will live on as our community's shared portrait

💛 Contribution
This is a donation-based evening, with a minimum contribution of €5 per person.
Refunds? No take-backs.
About your phone: Your phone will rest in our “phone hotel,” and we’ll be its bodyguards. But just so you know, if it magically disappears, learns to fly, or mysteriously breaks, The Offline Club can’t be held responsible.
Not quite ready to let it go? No worries, just switch it off and keep it tucked away, out of sight.
Please also note that Sapiens requires a minimum consumption of €6 on the night.
