Sandcasting workshop - 28 June 2026

​Unleash your creativity in this one-day workshop making unique objects from sterling silver.

Spend a fun, hands-on day in the Heylo workshop learning how to melt, shape, and polish sterling silver. In the morning you’ll get a little messy making a mould with delft clay, then I’ll guide you one-to-one as you safely melt and pour molten silver. After lunch I’ll show you how to file, sand, and polish your creation so it’s ready to take home.

​What to bring

Bring along any silver you’d like to melt, as well as small objects you want to cast. Simple, solid shapes work best but you’re also welcome to experiment on the day and see what happens.

What to wear - safety first

Wear simple clothing - nothing loose 
or dangling. Closed-toe shoes only 
and long hair must be tied back.

• ​Tea and coffee-making facilities.

• ​A fridge for your lunch and snacks.

• ​One very friendly dog for pats and cuddles.

​Please note that due to the nature of this workshop, it is only suitable for people aged 16+.
