Walking Tour of Canary Wharf Data Centres

Walking Tour of Canary Wharf Data Centres

🗓️ Saturday, 7 November 2026

⏰ 11:00am - 12:30pm

📍Canary Wharf, London, UK

As part of the Stop Dirty Data Centres days of action on 6-7 November 2026, this walking tour will take you through a cluster of data centres in Canary Wharf that power the financial trading district today, guided by a PhD researcher at Goldsmiths, University of London.

You will learn more about the operating companies in the area, the history of data centres in Docklands, and how it is entangled with wider histories of Thatcherite urban regeneration and colonial extraction that make Canary Wharf what it is today.

The tour will begin at Canary Wharf tube station and end in the same location.

The Stop Dirty Data Centres campaign is part of wider petition by Global Action Plan for a moratorium on large data centres in the UK.
