About Event

When everything feels urgent, how do you decide what runs first—and how do you make sure nothing gets left behind? In this talk, we’ll explore how Temporal handles priority and fairness so mission-critical workflows get the attention they deserve, while long-running or lower-priority tasks still make consistent progress. You’ll see how Temporal balances real-world trade-offs to keep systems reliable and responsive, even when demand spikes.

Through demos and practical examples, we’ll walk through use cases like payment processing, customer support escalations, and flash sales, showing how Temporal ensures fairness without sacrificing speed. Whether you’re building critical applications, scaling background workloads, or just curious about how distributed systems juggle competing demands, this session will give you insights (and maybe a few surprises) into how to get your priorities straight.

The second talk from our friends at Miro will show how they have scaled their Temporal development using composable workflows. As Temporal adoption grows, one of the biggest challenges teams face is scaling workflow development while maintaining consistency, reliability and testability. In this talk, we'll explore a framework built to tackle this and will demonstrate how it turns Temporal workflows into reusable building blocks.

Stick around after the talk for a live Q&A and community networking session—bring your use cases, questions, or just hang out with fellow engineers over snacks or screen time. We'll also be sharing some new features on Temporal at the end of the session.
