Seeds of Sound presents: What genre (even) is this?
Genre identification is a foundational skill for working well with music. It offers a universal language to communicate and collaborate with other DJs and facilitators, and a quick and clear system for organizing music libraries.
In this session we'll be jumping into the basics of identifying genres - creating a playful, practical and beginner-friendly environment to explore the core mechanics of several genres.
Above all else, learning to develop your ears for genres helps to develop your relationship to music. This work is in support of the somatic teaching community; whether you're a movement, medicine, yoga or breathwork facilitator, this offering is for you!
