Six Years: Event Sourcing and LiveView at Tafel Deutschland

Ruben Wagner is a software engineer and technology consultant at Inspired Consulting.

Six years ago, Ruben and his team started building logistics software for Tafel Deutschland e.V. Two architectural decisions have shaped it since.

Decision one: event sourcing, for decoupling.
Decision two: LiveView, for maintainability.

Neither choice was free. This talk is about the assumptions behind each decision, what held, and what they'd reconsider.
