Unlocking Innovation at the Intersection of Tech, Sustainability & Food Systems
Co-led by ADM’s Chief Sustainability Officer Kathy Pickus and Chief Science Officer Nuria Miquel, this intimate roundtable will convene a group of leaders across the agriculture, food/beverage, and tech sectors to explore how innovation in the food system is evolving beyond traditional R&D.
The discussion will focus on how science, technology, and sustainability teams can work more collaboratively within organizations and across sectors to create scalable regenerative solutions that deliver both environmental and economic value within the agrifood value chain.
Participants will be invited to share:
How their organizations are leveraging technology in non-traditional ways to advance sustainability and food security goals
What it takes to build effective cross-functional collaboration between innovation and sustainability teams
Examples of unexpected or unlikely partnerships (e.g., tech x ag, science x supply chain) and the learnings / outcomes of these partnerships
This closed-door session aims to surface practical insights, foster candid, off-the-record discussion, and identify new opportunities for partnership in building more resilient, future-looking food systems. As Europe faces increasing geopolitical uncertainty, regulatory complexity, and pressure to ensure food security, regenerative agriculture is emerging not just as a sustainability solution, but as a core lever for long-term stability. This discussion will examine how approaches that take local farming systems, regulatory environments, and supply chain needs into account can deliver both environmental outcomes and commercial value.
Discussion prompts will include:
How are regenerative agriculture programs evolving from sustainability initiatives into critical supply chain infrastructure?
What role does localization play in designing programs that are both scalable and compliant within diverse European markets?
How can companies better measure and communicate the business value of regenerative agriculture beyond environmental metrics (e.g., resilience, productivity, supply continuity)?
How is regulation and compliance-driven environments shaping the design of regenerative programs?
Participants will also be invited to share real-world examples, including lessons from implementing localized regenerative agriculture programs across Europe, farmer perspectives on what drives adoption and long-term viability, and/or examples of regenerative agriculture reducing sourcing volatility or strengthening regional supply networks.
This session aims to move beyond theory to practical insights highlighting how regenerative agriculture can serve as both a climate solution and a strategic business imperative for building more resilient, future proof food systems.
