AI FOR CLIMATE AT COP31 | Youth Climate Hackathon
AI for Climate | Build Online, Showcase at COP31
🌍 Build an AI climate project with an international team—and get a chance to showcase it at the UN climate conference.
Join ATOX’s AI for Climate · Youth Hackathon on 14–15 November 2026. Over two days online, you’ll tackle a specific climate problem, build a prototype and get mentor feedback.
Selected projects will showcase on 18 November at the GAUC Pavilion during COP31, the UN climate conference in Antalya, Türkiye, with opportunities to connect with climate experts, organisations and potential partners.
What will you build?
Start with a problem you care about: reducing food waste, making heat alerts more useful, understanding energy use or helping communities prepare for extreme weather.
Work with your team to identify who needs your solution, explore the evidence and build an early version you can demonstrate. You can start with a fresh idea or bring an existing project to improve.
No coding experience needed. AI coding tools can help you turn an idea into a working prototype. Research, climate knowledge, design and community experience are equally welcome.
Who is this for?
Students, researchers, developers, designers, climate practitioners and early-stage founders who want to build something together.
Apply solo or with a team of 4–6. If you’re joining individually, we’ll help you find teammates. Sessions and team collaboration will be mainly in English.
What will you take away?
A tangible project you can demonstrate and continue developing.
Mentor feedback to sharpen your idea and identify what to test next.
International collaborators you’ve worked with on a real problem.
A chance to showcase at COP31 if your project is selected.
