Active Breathwork Workshop

Active Breathwork is a transformational practice to support your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being. Using a three-part breath technique to quiet the mind and anchor into the body, this practice will guide you into a deep state of consciousness, where healing and transformation can take place.

Sessions are set to a specifically curated playlist. This practice is a great introduction to mindfulness if you've been curious and yet the thought of sitting silently in meditation intimidates you - we totally get it! However, it is also suitable for anyone who wishes to take their practice deeper and experience the transformation beyond habitual patterns.

We will come together to build somatic awareness and use the ancient wisdom of our bodies to expand nervous system capacity. Expect to leave this workshop feeling lighter, more open, and inspired.

This workshop is not suitable for pregnant people or those with serious heart conditions.

Artist: Johnny Conheeney + Gillian Abbott

Johnny Conheeney is a certified breathwork facilitator with a deep passion for helping people reconnect to their bodies, release old stories, and awaken to their full vitality. After years working in recruitment and digital marketing, he followed a strong inner calling to explore the transformative power of the breath — a path that changed his life and now shapes his work.

His approach is grounded, intuitive, and rooted in presence. He blends active breathwork techniques with a deep respect for emotional safety, nervous system awareness, and spiritual openness. He holds space with care and a belief that healing doesn’t have to be heavy — it can also be liberating, playful, and deeply human.

Gillian Abbott (she/her) is a Canadian-born artist and wellness practitioner. She holds a BFA in Dance from The Juilliard School and an MFA in Acting from Columbia University School of the Arts.

Her performance career includes playing Baby in the national Broadway tour of Dirty Dancing, performing as a featured artist in Cirque du Soleil’s The Beatles LOVE, co-starring on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, and dancing with Stacey Tookey’s company, Still Motion. She has also taught, directed, and choreographed within Columbia University’s MFA Acting program, and choreographed the first-ever musical at The Juilliard School.

Alongside her work on stage and screen, Gillian began teaching meditation and breathwork after years of personal practice and recognizing a deep need for these tools within the performing arts. For the past decade, she has supported artists in their holistic wellbeing through mindfulness, meditation, and breathwork. Her teaching spans North America, including MNDFL, The Juilliard School, Columbia University, Pace University, and The Protégé Movement.

Gillian is the founder of MTN Life Coaching, where she supports entrepreneurs, artists, and executives in reconnecting with their true selves and creating lives they love. She considers this work her most meaningful endeavor to date.
