Fashion, Frustrations & Fixes: Where AI meets fashion
ABOUT THIS SESSION
Ever scrolled for an hour, filled a basket, then bought nothing because none of it was quite right? Bring that frustration with you. In this hands-on workshop, you'll use AI to build your own fix for it, and leave with a mini app you made yourself.
Join Sofia Jovellana, founder of CURADO, an AI-powered fashion shopping companion and AI After 5 member. With a background in fashion, Sofia is now exploring the intersection of fashion, technology and product design. She’ll share her career journey, what inspired her to build CURADO, and how she’s combining her fashion expertise with AI to solve real shopping frustrations. She’ll also demo CURADO and guide you step by step through turning an everyday fashion frustration into something you can build with AI. No coding experience needed!
WHAT WE'LL COVER:
Sofia's story and a CURADO demo: Her career in fashion, her exploration of fashion-tech and product design, and how she's bringing these worlds together through CURADO.
How we really shop: the common frustrations from our pre-workshop survey, then time in pairs to talk through your own.
From problem to prototype: follow Sofia's creative approach (problem, then idea, then build), take your challenge solo or in pairs and build your own mini app. We finish with a show and tell.
You'll get Sofia's three-page mini workbook, a creative sketchbook for your shopping frustrations, ideas and first prompts.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Women who love fashion, are curious about AI, or both. This is a small, hands-on session of around 15 people, so everyone builds and everyone gets help. We review every registration to keep the room peer-level, and if we're full, join the waitlist.
WHEN AND WHERE
Saturday 14 November, at 2-5pm, with time to chat and network at the end. Venue in Newington Green, and we'll share the address with approved guests.
