Like all knowledge workers, AI has forever changed the analytics and insights professions. Marketing research is no longer being conducted the same way it was even 5 years ago. The industry is getting used to using synthetic data, digital personas, and a myriad of AI tools to asssist with design, fieldwork management such as recruiting, analyses, and reporting.

With a PhD in Sociology and a decade of experience across academic research, health tech, and innovation ecosystems, Tonie Marie specializes in the intersection of AI, behavioral science, and product strategy. She helps organizations validate product-market fit, build AI features users actually want, and make evidence-based product decisions that drive adoption and revenue.
Marketing research leader with 30 years of experience, including 20 years focused on research across brands such as Tempur-Pedic, Hampton Hotels, and Mitsubishi, as well as media, election and opinion surveys, advertising, and government studies. University professor teaching how AI enhances secondary research, study design, data collection, analytics, and reporting—turning data into clear, decision-ready insights.

My mission since age 17 is to help people understand each other. I accomplish this through marketing research, organizing conferences and communities, teaching, and music.
As an entrepreneur in the marketing research industry since 1984. I've created and managed seven companies with four successful exits. Founding team of four professional trade associations in marketing research/CX industry. Created CX Talks and CX Forums conference series. Founder of the Atlanta Chapter of The AI Collective and serves as the Southeast Regional Director.
I spent 10 years as an adjunct professor and guest lecturer at several universities in Georgia sharing my experience in marketing research and life as an entrepreneur. Currently consulting on using AI for marketing research and teaching AI to help people understand and apply these tools effectively.
