From working technology to real business change: making AI deliver
Denitsa Gavrilova, PhD, Director AI and Data at Yettel Bulgaria (LinkedIn)
How does AI move from working technology to meaningful business change? Drawing on practical experience in telecommunications, this talk connects the foundations of AI (legacy data, business context and modern infrastructure) with the adoption changes needed to deliver results. The focus is on moving beyond isolated solutions and turning customer touchpoints into action while the broader transformation is still underway.
Spec, Build, Connect: a spec-driven approach to developing any feature
When you use AI tools to build AI solutions, it's easy to jump straight to generating code and end up with something that works once but is hard to extend or share. This session shows a more deliberate approach: write the spec first, then let the AI help you build from it.
Live on stage, they will define a tool spec, use it to scaffold an MCP server and connect it as a plugin in Claude Code. Not a polished end product, but a clear workflow you can repeat.
You'll take away:
What MCP is and why a standard tool interface matters
How to write a spec that guides both the AI and the implementation
A workflow you can try in your own projects
The talks are in English. There's no formal Q&A, so bring your questions to the speakers during networking.
The AI quiz
After the talks, we split the room into teams and run an AI quiz. Bragging rights and prizes for the winning team.

Here's how it all started, told by our co-founder Yavor Belakov:
I just came back from a business trip to San Francisco and I'm mind blown!
Not by the state-of-tech… but by the people. People in SF are participating in AI communities like crazy - meeting up all the time, exchanging knowledge and experience. No wonder they are a few years ahead of everyone else. There are between 2 and 6 AI events you can choose from DAILY. The average week in Bulgaria has 0 AI events.
After coming back, I received this message:
Wanna be our first Chapter lead for AI Engineer Foundation's Bulgaria?
Sasha Sheng, Founder of AI Engineer Foundation (San Francisco)
I guess you see where this is going?
Yesssss - let's build a strong Bulgarian AI community.
Let's be up to date with the dynamically changing AI landscape.
And let's do it together - Bulgarian AI engineers, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts. Not alone but with the support of one of the most important communities in San Francisco - AI Engineer Foundation (endorsed by LangChain, Llama Index, AutoGPT, E2B, Postman).
