Social Media's Impact on Society: Rage, Rave, Race
University of San Francisco's Global Studies (GSBA 390) hosts a special panel on ethical tech.
Bringing industry professionals, USF professors and students to discuss the current state of social media, from rage-baiting, rave, to racism hate speech.
With algorithms and AI, what makes social media "ethical”? Who or what is at stake? In an era of hyper-connectedness but deep disconnection, how do we balance technological innovation with our collective human responsibility in creating a safe, healthy world for all?
