Transit Tour & A Nature Color Walk
Dear Community,
Become a Bus Babe for the day and join us for a colorful adventure! Travel from Lake Nokomis to Minnehaha Falls with Joon Community and Gifting Grove for a guided color photography walk rooted in slowing down, observing, and connecting with nature.
We will journey together using public transit (riding the bus and Blue Line) as a way to explore the city more sustainably and intentionally. Along the way, you will be invited to notice the colors around us and capture them through your lens.
Photographer James Tucker will lead the walk, offering creative guidance, tips, and insights for capturing color in nature. Bring your camera! Digital, film, or phone are all welcome.
Whether you are new to photography or experienced, this is an opportunity to move at a gentler pace, engage your senses, and document the beauty around you.
Schedule:
11:00 AM: Meet at Lake Nokomis, connect, and set intentions for the color walk. Each participant will choose a color to seek and photograph.
11:43 AM: Depart via the 22A bus and transfer to the Metro Blue Line (approximately 30 minutes total travel time).
12:13 PM: Arrive at Minnehaha Falls for exploration and photography.
12:50 PM: Begin return trip to Lake Nokomis.
1:22 PM: Tour concludes.
