The Scaling Playbook: Roadmaps for Climate Tech's Next Chapter
Scaling climate technology from first-of-a-kind project to bankable, repeatable infrastructure is one of the hardest problems in the climate transition, and one of the least documented. This session introduces Innovation Scaling Roadmaps: sector-specific pathways, grounded in precedent projects and deep technical expertise, that map the milestones, partnerships, and unlocks required to move critical climate technologies from lab-proven innovation, through first-of-a-kind deployment, to bankable and repeatable scale.
We'll ground the conversation in a real scaling journey — Fervo's path from early-stage enhanced geothermal developer to multiple deployments — through the eyes of the people who lived it: Fervo leadership, a venture investor who backed it early and sat on its board, and a project finance provider who helped fund its first commercial deployments. Together, they'll unpack what actually de-risks a climate tech project, what resources made the difference, and what they'd tell the next generation of founders and investors.
