About Event

If you're scaling a game studio and have your sights set on the European market, this event is worth your lunch hour.

Join host Caroline Devine from Flanders Investment & Trade for a focused conversation on what it actually looks like to expand your studio to Flanders, Belgium — one of Europe's fastest-growing game development hubs with a strong local talent base and a proven track record in augmented and virtual reality entertainment.

You'll hear directly from Tom Tesch, an engineer and academic lecturer at HOWEST University of Applied Sciences’ Digital Arts and Entertainment (DAE) program. Tom specializes in C++ Algorithms, AI and Game Technology. The DAE program from HOWEST has been ranked #1 Game Design & Development School by The Rookies in 2017, 2018 and 2021.

Next we’ll give you an overview from our Flanders Investment & Trade Silicon Valley Office on the concrete resources available to studios looking to scale — including funding access, talent networks, and operational support.

We'll close our info sessions with a fireside chat/Q&A about the Flemish gaming cluster with Tom and Bernard François from PreviewLabs, which specializes in rapid prototyping for game devs, VR, AR, mobile apps and desktop games.

Belgium's central location and multilingual workforce make it a natural base for reaching customers, partners, and talent across Europe, and Flanders has built real infrastructure around helping game studios get there.

Who should attend:
If Europe is on your roadmap for 2026, let’s talk.

Whether you're a solo developer or running a small-to-mid-sized studio, this is a practical opportunity to learn what international expansion can look like and ask the people who've done it your questions directly.

We’ll wrap with networking coffee — VCs, investors, publishers, and larger studios are very welcome to join and connect with founders who are ready to scale.
