Screening + Q&A With Lynne Sachs
Join us at Accent Sisters on May 22 for an evening with Lynne Sachs and a screening of Every Contact Leaves a Trace, followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker moderated by Kexin Tom Zhang. Starting from a box of business cards she has kept for years, Sachs builds a moving, surprising meditation on the traces people leave behind, through brief encounters, half-remembered conversations, and the lingering feeling of a moment that stays with you long after it ends.
Moving between kitchens, festivals, archives, laboratories, parks, and imagined spaces, the film blends essay, documentary, poetry, performance, and archival material into a layered reflection on memory, intimacy, and history. It’s a chance to spend the night with one of experimental cinema’s most distinctive voices, and to hear Sachs speak about a body of work that has resonated across festivals and retrospectives around the world.
