Deep Talks #4 - Genomic Tools for the Future of Farming

​Deep Talks is an initiative by Cubo Itaú, organized in partnership with ecosystem organizations to explore the key challenges and opportunities within the #DeepTech landscape. This edition of Deep Talks is being organized in collaboration with AgFoodVentures. Each session brings together leaders, researchers, and entrepreneurs to discuss frontier topics shaping the future of science and applied technology.

​In this 4th edition, we will dive into the impact of genomic tools on the future of agriculture. To open the event, we will host a one-hour keynote by Jorge Venegas, LATAM Operations Director at Pairwise. Pairwise is pioneering the application of CRISPR technology in food and agriculture. He will share an in-depth perspective on advances in gene editing and real-world applications in the field, including CRISPR and other cutting-edge tools.

​Following the keynote, we will have a panel discussion with ecosystem experts, including Jorge Venegas (Pairwise), Rafael de Souza (Symbiomics), Carlos Crocco (BEAM CropTech) and moderator Alain Marques and Helio L. Costa (AgFoodVentures).

​To close the event, we will learn about the solutions of three innovative biotechnology and agtech startups: Elytron Biotech, Neocrop and Inedita Bio, who will present their final pitches.
