From wreck to resurrection, they rebuilt an ark; not one for treasure, but rather of truth.
It was no ordinary vessel, but a fabled ferry — half-sunken in Brooklyn’s scarred estuary.
With spirit and steel, they turned rust into rebirth; a vessel forging conservation with creativity.
A calling from a crippled creek, waiting to be cleaned, believed by most that No One could do it.

☘️ NO ONE'S ARK
No One's Ark is a not-for-profit organization that fuses art, activism, and ecology to help clean polluted waterways here in New York City, and eventually, around the world.
Using the idea of "creative cleanups," we are in the process of refurbishing a historic, decommissioned ferry into a multi-faceted educational, art, and environmental center that will host various events and programs to help fund and support community-led nature-restoration projects. The ark, once restored, will be a beacon of ecological, economical, and social stewardship that brings action and awareness to ensure our waters are free of pollution, promising biodiversity and accessibility for future generations to come.
Through playful, purpose-driven piracy, we can bring awareness to the pollution in our own backyards, helping the community reimagine and rebuild the healthy coastlines this city deserves. All to find the first of many treasures: the rewilding of Newtown Creek to its former, once-thriving saltwater estuary.
