This roundtable will bring together a select group of senior leaders from the financial sector. We'll have an in-depth discussion on the challenges, best practices, and strategic considerations involved in integrating Generative AI with the right governance, scaling beyond pilots and PoCs.

The session will focus on two main themes:
1. Managing the Risks of GenAI Models
We will share how institutions are reshaping their governance frameworks, staying aligned with the AI Act and other regulations and frameworks. Discussion points include governance structures, systematic discovery and cataloguing of AI systems and central monitoring of AI. We will also explore new thinking around ownership and strategy, particularly how the role of the 2LoD may shift from a formal approver toward a more advisory, strategic partner, based on real cases in the financial sector.
2. Applying GenAI Within Risk Management
We will look at how GenAI is being deployed to enhance key risk management functions, with a specific focus on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of Model Risk Management processes. The discussion will cover approaches for embedding GenAI use cases into existing MRM systems and how banks can encourage innovation while maintaining rigorous governance, responsible use, and ethical oversight.
