Shaping Australia's AI Future: the Joint Select Committee on AI

​Parliament has set up a Joint Select Committee on Artificial Intelligence to answer 13 questions that add up to ‘how should Australia handle a technology with such significant risks and opportunities?’

​AI Safety ANZ is proud to be bringing together a panel of experts to help you learn more!

​The Committee wants to hear from the public by Monday 14 September 2026, so this is a chance to hear from a range of people and organisations about what they think, to form and inform your own views, and to consider making your own submission and have your voice heard.

​We'll be helping you to:

• ​Understand what the committee is, what it's asking, and what this means for you

• ​Hear from a range of voices on their concerns about AI, and what they'd want to say to the committee

• ​Optionally get started on your own submission alongside other attendees
