SLM builders night
Post-trained small language models, and why you'd need one. From builders, for builders.
Agents in production repeat the same few steps thousands of times a day. For these steps a small model post-trained on the task can match frontier models at a fraction of the cost and latency. This talk covers the hard part: turning messy production traces into evals and training data, and then keeping the model up to date. We finish by building a model live, because we love the thrill.
Then it's your turn. If you've built something with small models, bring it. At work or on the side, it doesn't matter. You get 5 minutes. No slides. Just show us the thing running. Tell us about it when you register and we'll save you a slot.
After that, drinks with people who build things.
You don't need to have used an SLM before. You just need to be curious.
Hosted by NAP and distil labs. Part of Poland Tech Week.
