Climate Voices: COP30 Reflections & Community Dialogue on the Forum's Strategy
On behalf of the Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities Engagement Forum, an independent, a self-led body hosted by the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM).
We are delighted to invite you to an interactive session involving:
Reflections on COP30 and what it means for Indigenous Peoples, as well as local communities, and for the work of the Forum.
Presentation of the Forum’s Carbon Markets Engagement Strategy, its priority areas and activities.
Interactive discussion and consultation to invite feedback from Indigenous Peoples, local communities and other carbon market actors on the Forum’s Strategy.
Who can attend:
The Forum strongly encourages participation from Indigenous Peoples, as well as local communities. Other carbon market actors (including project developers, NGOs, and government actors) are also invited to participate.
Languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French translation will be provided.
The input received will be used to inform the future evolution of the Strategy, ensuring it reflects the lived experiences, priorities and aspirations of Indigenous Peoples and local communities. The outcomes will inform the next phase of the Forum’s work, deepen regional engagement, and help to co-develop practical tools and guidance that support communities’ self-determined participation in carbon markets.
