Background: In the next 5 years, it's estimated that 30-40 BILLION additional IoT devices will be deployed worldwide. What better place to build those devices than Northeast Ohio. To that end, we have formed the IoT Sandbox on a mission to establish Ohio and the greater Midwest as a global hub for IoT design, development, and manufacturing - across industries. The obvious starting points in CLE are manufacturing (IIoT) and healthcare (wearables, implantables).
With a nod to the original event, "The #OHIoT Reverse Pitch" rolling out in the fall of 2026, will be a signature event of the #IoTinOhio Ecosystem designed to seed innovation between established incumbents and entrepreneurial, technical, and academic communities across Northeast Ohio, Ohio, and the greater Midwest. Each Reverse Pitch is a structured opportunity to connect with problem solvers across the ecosystem. The goal is to accelerate smart product innovation, bridge talent with opportunity, and position the region as a globally recognized hub for IoT design, development, and manufacturing.
