join us friday october 24, 2025 at telos.haus for the launch of the second issue of the solution-oriented, new york minded, for you & your friends magazine – grouphug.
we're throwing together a night of workshops, crafts, talks & readings, installations, screenings, and of course, so you can grab your copy of grouphug. it, and our other work, will be there for you, as well as the works of some of our many talented contributors.
expect activities like :
- a mario paint station by keys (@_whats_michael_)
- an interactive display of palestine online with amad ansari (@badgalansari)
- to participate in a community woodblock carving + talk by the incredible print pals (@printpals.nyc) team, becca and claire
- to learn how to do tatreez, a Palestinian embroidery tradition, with zeena (@z______________na),
- participating in the Melting Metropolis archive by bringing a memory you’d like to share or a photo you want to scan, with meral from Queens Memory (@queensmemory)
talks and readings from :
- amad ansari (@badgalansari) giving a presentation of his work palestineonline.net
- david perez (@thedavidperez_) and caits meissner (@thecaitsshow), about their ongoing epistolary work with incarcerated people around the country
screenings from :
- a looping all-night showcase of work from many artists, like suzie maez (@suziemaez)
- the newly premiered documentary – Soil Story
