SOLVING AGING IN THE AGE OF AI

Thursday, August 20, 2026
6:00–11:00 PM
The Fire Pit @ Biopunk House
1153 Bush Street, San Francisco

ABOUT THE EVENT

We need to have a serious conversation about the current state of artificial intelligence, biotechnology, aging research, and how to solve radical longevity.

The Biopunk Community will host its first-ever fireside chat on August 20, 2026. This time, with real fire and burning questions.

Aging remains one of humanity’s greatest unsolved challenges. AI can accelerate biomedical discovery, but discovery is not proof. AI-generated analyses must also be reproducible and translatable.

If an intervention appears to slow or reverse aging, what evidence shows that it changed aging itself, rather than only a biomarker or individual disease? We need to know within a practical timeframe, without waiting 100 to 200 years for lifetime outcomes.

Answering that question requires reproducible computational analyses, laboratory experiments, validation in living systems, and personalized measures that can be repeated and verified for each individual.

The discussion will explore lifespan, healthspan, peakspan, and the path from discovery to evidence to validation.

CONFIRMED SPEAKERS

Aubrey de Grey, PhD

Founder and Chief Science Officer of the Longevity Escape Velocity Foundation. His work focuses on rejuvenation biotechnology and overcoming barriers to the development of therapies capable of extending healthy human life.
