The One Day Builder Retreat
This is a single, focused day for builders, founders, and contributors to step away from the noise and regain clarity.
It’s a chance to exchange real-world context, challenge ideas honestly, and spend time with people who understand what it actually means to build.
Forget conference halls and forced networking. This day starts with intention and ends with real connection.
The experience flows naturally across different environments. When your head needs space, the venue opens up with a quiet spot by the lake, a dip in the pool, or open areas designed for a real reset, not a rush.
The retreat is family friendly. There are dedicated spaces for kids, including a playground, kids pool, and a small mini zoo, so you can stay present without leaving life behind.
It’s a day to learn, connect, eat, drink, and dance, without sacrificing the depth, focus, or purpose that brought you here.
Families and Kids
Kids are welcome.
Parents are responsible for supervising their children at all times.
What We’re Going to Do
The day moves in two connected waves, each feeding the next.
Phase 1 · Builder Sessions
We start with intention.
A small set of curated talks and conversations, supported by our partners and sponsors, with a strong focus on Starknet Foundation and its builder ecosystem, alongside real use cases from other sponsor products already in production. This includes practical discussions around Truther, such as crypto-native payments, USDT flows, user onboarding, and real-world settlement, all grounded in how builders actually use these tools. The goal is to inject real context, not sell narratives. Expect discussions around scalability, Cairo, ZK design choices, real-world constraints, what actually breaks when you ship, and how different tools fit into real production stacks. Sessions are short, sharp, and built to trigger better questions, not fill slides.
Throughout the day, the environment stays open and alive. Food and drinks are available from start to finish, the BBQ is always on, and the soccer field stays open all day for casual games and resets. When you need air, there’s the pool, the lake, and outdoor spaces designed for flow, not distraction.
This phase is about signal, clarity, and shared context among builders who are actually shipping, using real products in real environments, not hypotheticals.
Nothing is rushed. Nothing is passive.
Phase 2 · The Shift
As the sun moves, so does the energy.
Music fades in. DJs set the rhythm, not the spotlight.
The stage exists, but it doesn’t dominate built to blend into the environment, then disappear. A fully biodegradable structure, made to respect the space we’re borrowing for the day.
The pool and outdoor areas come alive. You’re free to swim, move, relax, or let conversations stretch naturally around food, drinks, and music.
If you stay, you’ll feel the difference.
The Place
We chose a place that allows people to stay all day.
Open spaces, outdoor areas, and enough comfort to support long conversations without friction. We’ll have a pool with a waterslide, barbecue, a soccer field, a kids playground, a kids pool, open bar, a lake, mini-zoo and some DJs
The place isn’t a backdrop.
It’s part of how the retreat works.
What We’ve Done Before
CryptoLar gatherings consistently bring together builders, founders, and researchers for high-signal, in-person conversations.
Our last event in Florianópolis brought together over 150 participants. Most arrived early, stayed the entire day, and were already asking about the next one before it ended.
This retreat is a more focused continuation of that work.
Host
CryptoLar is one of Brazil’s most active Web3 education and events initiatives, connecting builders, researchers, and developers through technical meetups, hackathons, and in-person experiences focused on security, real building, and community.
Sponsors
Starknet Foundation supports the growth and development of the Starknet ecosystem by providing the tools, resources and support needed to create transformative solutions that drive the adoption of the network.
StarkWare is the core development company behind Starknet. They pioneered STARK proofs - a breakthrough in cryptographic scalability and continue to advance zero-knowledge technology for faster, cheaper and more secure blockchain computation.
Participation and Access
This is a limited-capacity event built for 150 persons.
Access may be subject to approval to keep the group aligned and the conversations productive. If approved, you’re expected to stay present, respect the space, and engage.
