About Event

Artificial intelligence is beginning to reshape the systems that sit behind modern life. Finance is one of the most affected areas. From how financial data is analysed to how services are designed and delivered, AI is increasingly influencing how people manage money and how institutions operate.

This shift is not only technological. It is also changing how financial products are built, how decisions are made, and how individuals interact with financial information in their everyday lives.

In this edition of W Parlour, we look at these developments through the lens of someone working at the intersection of finance and emerging technology.

Our guest is Jessica Liu, Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Planto, a fintech company developing AI-powered solutions used by global banks, fintech startups, and wealth management firms. Her work focuses on turning complex financial data into tools that help institutions and individuals make better financial decisions.

Jessica also serves as a board member of the Fintech Association of Hong Kong, where she co-leads the Greater Bay Area Work Group and supports initiatives related to emerging technologies such as quantum computing and cybersecurity. She regularly speaks at international finance and technology conferences including Hong Kong FinTech Week, Abu Dhabi Finance Week, and Money20/20, and is an ambassador for Global Women in AI and the MENA Fintech Association.

During the session, Jessica will share insights from her experience building fintech solutions and working closely with financial institutions navigating rapid technological change.

W Parlour is a new initiative by Club Wheelock & The DO designed to create meaningful cross-sector connections. W Parlour brings together a curated group of professionals across sectors and creates the kind of connection that rarely happens in traditional networking settings.
