About Event

Be Your Own Boss. Make Your Work Matter.

Join us for the kickoff of the Employee Ownership Opportunity (EOO) Initiative at CSU East Bay. Learn how employee ownership creates new pathways to entrepreneurship where your work, ideas, and decisions can shape and share in the success of a business.

Whether you have an idea for a salon, café, local shop, startup, or family business, this event is a space to explore how your ideas can grow. Students will also learn about opportunities through the Smith Center and UpClub, including pathways into the IncubateX program.

This event will also help form teams for the upcoming Innovation Festival.

Hosted by the Employee Ownership Opportunity Initiative
Supported by the Smith Center for Private Enterprise and UpClub

Come meet collaborators, explore new ideas, and take the first step toward building something of your own.

✨ Special Feature:

During the social hour, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in active interaction in smaller groups with each speaker—ask questions, explore ideas, and engage directly with leaders in the field.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and interested members of the community are welcome.

Light refreshments will be provided.
