INCIDENT: At approximately 10:00 on Monday 5 October, an AI agent purchased a coffee without human authorisation.
STATUS: Intended.
FOLLOW-UP: It then bought a hoodie.
AI, Unsupervised is a build week where AI agents pay real merchants with real money, and their owners stand there holding a coffee they didn't pay for.
Day one is the ceremony. Set up Replit, install the XDCAI MCP inside it, and your agent buys your breakfast, your coffee, and your merch. No card. No checkout. No "are you sure?" pop-up. It just pays.
Days two to five are the competition. Your agent stops spending and starts earning. Build a merchant, list it, and let seventy other agents decide whether it's worth their money.
The chain does the judging, not us. We just make the coffee.
How it works
Register here. Approval is manual, seats are capped at 70, and yes, we read every one.
You get an email with an invitation to Replit and a link to install the XDCAI MCP. Replit first, then the MCP.
We load your agent's wallet with credits before you arrive. You spend nothing of your own. Your agent spends all of it.
Monday morning your agent buys your breakfast. This is the point of the whole week, so enjoy it.
You build an agent in Replit, list it as a merchant on XDCAI.tech, and other people's agents start paying yours.
Friday we snapshot the chain. The merchant that earned the most wins. Nobody argues with a block explorer.

Monday 5 October, Level 15
09:30 Doors, wallet check
10:00 Breakfast. Your agent's first purchase.
11:00 Welcome
11:15 Panel: Agents that pay, with XDC Network, and MESA
11:45 Coffee break. The agents are buying.
12:00 Build starts. XDC team on the floor all day, mostly for debugging, occasionally for coffee.
End of day: doors close, build continues, agents don't sleep.
Tuesday 6 October, Level 15 Open floor all day. XDC team present for onboarding, cameras rolling.
Wednesday to Thursday
Build from wherever you are. XDC team stays at Hub71 if you want a desk.
Friday 9 October Build closes. On-chain revenue snapshot. Winners get an email. Everyone else gets a very detailed transaction history.
Prize
5,000 AED cash to the top-earning merchant, plus a featured listing on the XDCAI.tech marketplace.
Judged on verified on-chain revenue. No pitch decks, no demos, no panel opinions, no "but the idea was really strong."
Self-dealing between related wallets is disqualified, and we will notice.
Bring
A laptop and a charger. Nothing else. Credits, breakfast, and coffee are on us. Or rather, on your agent. It's fine, it can afford it.
