Build For Breakpoint: Cashflow Models that Investors Like
Workshop led by Armani Richards, Managing Director, AMAI Capital. Armani Richards has spent over twenty years in corporate restructuring, accounting and finance, including managing a £100m fund for The FSE Group in the North of the UK. He's sat on the side of the table that decides whether a business gets backed, and the side that works out what to do when the numbers stop adding up.
Nobody wants to pay for a cashflow model. Everybody pays for the one they didn't build, at investment closing stages.
We'll go through what actually belongs in a forecast investors trust: runway assumptions, revenue drivers, burn scenarios, and the mistakes that make a model look fake the moment someone senior opens it. Armani will show real examples of forecasts that raised money and ones that killed deals, and where the line actually sits.
We'll also cover how to spot when an AI-generated model looks polished but doesn't actually hold up — wrong assumptions baked in, no sensitivity to real variables, numbers that don't reconcile.
Walk out with a cashflow model built for your own numbers, ready to survive diligence rather than embarrass you in it.
