Technology-Enabled Wildfire Mitigation in Action: Live Remote-Mastication Demo with BurnBot
Join BurnBot for a live wildfire mitigation demonstration in Sun Valley, Idaho, showcasing our Remote-Controlled Masticators (RCUs) in action.
Hosted in coordination with the Sun Valley Fire Department and alongside the Mountain Towns 2030 Climate Summit, the demo will let you see the equipment working firsthand. You'll also learn how mechanized fuels treatment can help reduce wildfire risk around homes, neighborhoods, resort properties, evacuation routes and critical infrastructure in the wildland–urban interface (WUI).
Date: Tuesday, October 13
Time: 2:30–3:30 PM
Location: Behind Sun Valley City Hall, across from Dollar Cabin
Parking: Dollar Cabin lot, not City Hall
What to Expect
The BurnBot team will demonstrate the equipment in dense sagebrush and brush around City Hall and walk through how we plan and carry out fuels treatments. We'll cover:
How remote-controlled masticators efficiently treat heavy, continuous fuels
How our approach differs from conventional vegetation management
How mechanized fuels treatment scales to larger community and landscape-level projects
Applications for protecting homes, evacuation routes, infrastructure and other critical assets
The demonstration is open to summit attendees, local residents, fire agencies, counties and cities, HOAs, land managers, public officials, utilities, agency partners and community leaders.
As the first insurance-backed wildfire mitigation company, BurnBot also connects fuels treatment with measurable, insurable risk reduction. That matters more and more to property owners and communities in mountain towns.
Building wildfire resilience across Idaho and the Mountain West is a collaborative effort. We're excited to bring the local community together with fire and land management professionals to see these tools in action, share ideas and explore practical ways to reduce wildfire risk.
