Future of Fuels: Autonomy on a Community Fuel Break
Wildfire has outgrown the tools we use to prevent it. Fuel breaks still get built the way they were decades ago, by hand crews and conventional equipment, one acre at a time, on budgets and timelines that can't keep pace with the risk. BurnBot exists to change that.
Join us in Moraga for a live look at autonomous and remote-controlled wildfire mitigation on a real community-scale project. Our Remote-Controlled Masticators (RCUs) will be cutting an active fuel break around a Moraga neighborhood, work we're delivering in partnership with the Moraga-Orinda Fire District and Fire Safe Council. Alongside the fuel break, you'll see BurnBot's autonomous treatment systems in action, with our team on site to walk through how we plan, execute, and verify the work. After the demonstration, our fire, fuels, and engineering leads will host a conversation with attendees on what it takes to protect communities, infrastructure, and landscapes at the scale and speed the problem demands.
About BurnBot
BurnBot is the first insurance-backed, full-service wildfire mitigation company. We build and operate remote-controlled and autonomous platforms for mechanized fuels and forestry treatment, prescribed fire, and mapping, and put them to work alongside experienced crews for fire districts, utilities, land managers, and communities across the West.
